BG Swaper (bgswaper.com) provides a free, browser-based, AI-powered image background removal tool. The service is accessible directly on our website - no registration, no account, and no payment is required to use the core tool.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service - or any part of it - at any time, with or without notice, though we'll make reasonable efforts to flag material changes ahead of time. Features, AI modes, and removal options may be added, adjusted, or removed as the service develops.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country) to use BG Swaper. Using the service means you're confirming you meet that requirement. If you're using BG Swaper on behalf of a company or organisation, you're representing that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms and that it agrees to be bound by them.

BG Swaper is a single, integrated background removal tool that supports multiple AI modes and processing options. Here's what you should know about how it works:

• No account required - you can upload an image and download the result entirely anonymously. We do not ask you to register or log in.
• Multiple AI modes - we offer several removal modes and modes optimised for different image types (e.g., portraits, products, illustrations). Results vary by mode and input quality.
• Browser-based processing - the tool runs in your browser via our web interface. There is no downloadable software or desktop application.
• Automatic image deletion - uploaded images and output files are permanently deleted from our servers as soon as your result is delivered. We do not store your images.
• No API access - BG Swaper does not currently offer a programmatic API. Use of automated scripts or bots to interact with the service is not permitted (see Acceptable Use).

Don't use BG Swaper to:

• Upload images that are unlawful, obscene, defamatory, harassing, or that infringe any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, decompile, or extract our AI modes, weights, or processing pipeline
• Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or any programmatic means to interact with the service without our prior written consent
• Circumvent or attempt to bypass any technical controls, rate limits, or security measures we have in place
• Transmit malicious code, viruses, worms, or any harmful or disruptive data
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the service or its output without our prior written consent
• Create deepfakes or manipulated imagery intended to deceive, defame, or harm any person or organisation
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the service for any purpose

We reserve the right to block access for any user or IP address that violates this policy, without prior notice.

You retain full ownership of the images you upload and the processed output files you download ("Your Content"). BG Swaper claims no ownership or intellectual property rights over Your Content.

By uploading an image, you grant BG Swaper a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process and transform that image solely to deliver the background removal result back to you. This licence is strictly transient - it ends automatically and permanently once processing is complete and the files have been deleted from our servers under our retention policy.

You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have all necessary rights and permissions to the images you upload; and (b) processing those images as described above does not and will not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any third-party rights, including copyright, privacy rights, or any applicable law.

BG Swaper may include links to third-party websites or reference external services (such as blog references or documentation). Those links are there for convenience only. We have no control over the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party sites and take no responsibility for them.

Visiting any third-party site is entirely at your own risk and governed solely by that site's terms and privacy policy. A link appearing on BG Swaper is not an endorsement of the linked site or anything on it.

BG Swaper is completely free to use. There are no subscription plans, paid tiers, credits, or payment options of any kind. You'll never be asked to pay to use the background removal tool.

Because the service is free and shared across all users, we ask that you use it fairly. To keep things running well for everyone:

• Do not use automated tools, scripts, or bots to submit images in bulk
• Do not attempt to overload, stress-test, or disrupt the service
• Do not use the service in a way that unreasonably degrades performance for other users

We reserve the right to apply rate limits or temporarily restrict access from sources that appear to be abusing the free service, without notice and without liability.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BG SWAPER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely free of harmful components. AI-based background removal is inherently probabilistic - output quality depends on image resolution, subject complexity, lighting conditions, and the AI mode selected. You are solely responsible for reviewing all output before any commercial, professional, or public use.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BG Swaper and its affiliates, officers, agents, employees, and partners from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your use of the service; or (c) the content of any images you upload, including any claim that such images infringe the rights of a third party.

Because BG Swaper doesn't require an account or registration, you can stop using it at any time by simply closing your browser. There's nothing to cancel and nothing to delete.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently restrict access for any user, device, or IP address - at our sole discretion and without prior notice - where we reasonably believe conduct violates these Terms, constitutes abuse of the free service, or poses a risk to other users, BG Swaper, third parties, or the public.

Upon any such restriction, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination - including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law - will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by and construed under applicable law. If a dispute arises from or in connection with these Terms or your use of BG Swaper, please contact us first through our Contact page so we can try to sort it out informally. If the matter can't be resolved within 30 days of written notice, either party may pursue formal legal remedies in the competent courts of the relevant jurisdiction.

Notwithstanding the above, nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction where necessary to protect intellectual property rights or prevent imminent harm.

These Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the service, legal requirements, or how we operate. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post a notice on the BG Swaper website for a reasonable period.

Because BG Swaper doesn't operate user accounts, we can't notify users of changes by email. We encourage you to check back here periodically. Continuing to use BG Swaper after any revision takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the service.
